Ceramic Mug Set Project

Why is there such an idea?

Actually, we’ve been longing for making ceramic mugs for quite a long time. I've thought about different designs and even samples have been made, but for various reasons, I couldn't produce the final product. Therefore, I’ve put this idea aside for a while. During discussions about holding an exhibition with Loves Craft this year (2023), the desire to make ceramic mugs came alive again, and that's when the design for Oopsie! began.

Loves Craft
In the serene space, Loves Craft focuses on hand-thrown pottery, using porcelain clay as the axis and self-prepared glaze as the thread to weave utensils in daily life with a rich tactile and tranquil atmosphere.
Without intricate patterns and decorations, emphasis is placed on the natural flow of the glaze after burning, allowing the texture to speak for itself. The simple design of the vessels effortlessly integrates into a beautiful daily life.
Using high-stability Japanese porcelain clay, fired at a high temperature of 1260 degrees Celsius, the clay molecules become dense, and the hardness is high, making it resistant to absorbing the color of soups and ensuring durability. We believe that the primary criterion for a good vessel is the ability to be used comfortably. With beautiful vessels, life becomes more interesting and fulfilling!
Practical, Fun, and Decorative

'Hey! Something spilled!' a friend shouts.
harmone drew inspiration from small mistakes that we might make in real life like the moment when we pour too much drinks accidentally into a mug and designed the mug set "Oopsie!". The design playfully depicts fluid and fluid surface, using a piece of ceramic placed aside the mug to trigger users' imagination between vessels and daily life.

The mug can be used to hold water or beverages, and the fluid surface (the piece of ceramic) aside can also serve as a small plate for placing items such as spoons, tea bags or snacks, etc. Both can be used together or separately. The mug is designed to be stackable, creating a continuous overflow of fluid, overflowing from the top mug to the one below. This should be more than just a small mistake (LOL). Oopsie! can also serve as a decorative piece in your home, making your table or shelf more interesting and aesthetically pleasing.

Brand Collaboration
Oopsie! Ceramic Mug Set is designed by harmone while Loves Craft showcases the beauty and possibilities of ceramic craftsmanship in daily life goods through the shaping of porcelain and the "crystalline glaze" technique on the mug and the flowing fluid surface.
In this collaboration, five unique mugs are introduced, each created with different abstract colors and images as imaginative glazes. Crystalline glaze is a challenging glazing technique, offering not only its irreplaceable layers of color but also mineral-like patterns resembling blossoms and ice crystals. You can see the glaze crystallization process from vertical to horizontal, both on the mug body and the adjacent porcelain piece.
