It is a casual yet mellow and textured dining time.
In the morning of early March, it was still a little chilling after getting warmer, and the air was filled with the aroma of the burning winter cedar candle. Looking at the lovely snow-like job’s tears in "Winter on the Table '' placed on the long coffee table, it suddenly makes people want to enjoy a hotpot especially the Japanese one. With the white and textured ceramic vase, I really want to prepare a fruitful feast with our own collection and production of plates, Thus, let us catch the tail of winter by putting on an elegant tablecloth with the white floral pattern on the blue, and come to the yummy winter dining table with a mellow yet casual style which is just like eating in an izakaya.
Winter Menu
As an appetizer for a meal, the sweet and sour tomato with beautiful color is a good choice. Pickle the peeled large tomato with plums and fruit vinegar, store it in the refrigerator overnight and put it in the room for an hour before serving so that it will not be too cold when you enjoy it in the winter. The tomato is thick, juicy and full of the yummy taste of plum.
The combination of the several sour ingredients is a pleasant matching as the appetizer. The dish is served with the ceramic bowl handmade by harmone, and a heart-warming meal begins.
For the soup of the meal, we have the most representative and diversified miso soup in Japanese cuisine.
Cherry tomato, eggplant and fresh beef balls are added to cook together here to make the miso soup more refreshing and unique.
Also, we have a semi-dried Hokke from Hokkaido as the grilled dish of the meal. Put some sake on the flesh and then grill until the aroma of barbecue is released.
The ceramic long plate with a flower which I got from my mother for many years is used which brings a lovely sense of harmony. The fish is so rich in fish oil and it is just so firmed in texture and tasty.
The main course of the menu is beef sukiyaki. Compared with other hotpot dishes, sukiyaki uses a relatively small amount of sauce for simmering the ingredients, but it can make every single ingredient in the pot delicious concentratedly. The beef slices, mushrooms, tofu, and vegetables are dipped in the raw egg mixed with the simmering sauce. In this way, an impressive and delicious taste is brought. In the cold weather, the ceramic dish with the little stove brought back from a pottery shop in Busan is used to serve this dish. In addition to the fingerlicking moment, the small dining area is filled with smoke which makes the whole atmosphere so warm and healing.
Since we like the atmosphere and scenery of the izakaya where the tables are always covered with many yummy and beautiful dishes so much, we have prepared several daily recommended side dishes here in the menu which are served on wooden and ceramic plates.
Poached edamame is always a must-have snack on many izakaya tables, and the slightly salty taste makes it a magic food that makes people hard to stop eating.
In addition, natto with chopped seaweed is not only a good dish for hot rice and noodle, but also a healthy food for all ages. When it comes to natto, many friends still do not accept the unique taste, but once you like it, you can always find a bunch of natto with different sauce stored in your refrigerator. Moreover, seaweed, natto and rice are always a golden pairing. Interestingly, my family and my cat also like it very much.
The only deep fried dish on this table is the pumpkin and sweet potato cake. Inside the crispy crust it is the sweet and dense pumpkin and sweet potato puree. It is so good for those who like food which is crispy outside and soft inside.
There is also tamagoyaki with mentaiko as the filling. When I am taking note of every dish on this table, I found that I have a specific preference for a certain flavor of food. From the semi-dried fish to edamame and mentaiko, they are all a little salty with a special aroma. I especially like to eat it with other food on the basis of this taste to achieve another deliciousness and texture. Adding mentaiko into tamagoyaki is such a wonderful existence. And a table of delicious food pairing up with a good quality sake which we received from a good friend is what a beautiful winter day should be.

"Seasons on the Table" is a project based on the combination of Musako Studio's dried flower arrangement, harmone’s selected vases, designed menus, homemade natural scented candles, art design and other elements. We wish to bring the beautiful scenery and atmosphere of the four seasons with these elements to your dining table and living area anytime.
We’ve been enjoying the whole process very much, especially when we receive different feedback from our customers such as "The dried flowers in spring are really beautiful, and the Spring can also be viewed at the bottom of the vase which makes it so special!” There are also customers who took spring, summer, autumn, and winter home all in one time. And there’s even a customer who tried to find the location of our “restaurant” after reading the menu of a certain season. These are all very encouraging and interesting to us. In the future, the spirit of "Seasons on the Table" will continue.
We believe that an aesthetic living space needs to be created with heart. And the process and result will bring us happiness and satisfaction, and even the motivation to live a better life. I wish you all the best by blending your favorite lifestyle into your very own space, and live a happy, beautiful and harmonious life.
